Vocational Coach Certification with emphasis in the Spiritual Psychology Approach to VC
Description
With the right training you can become an effective Vocational Coach in one day. The instructor will share with you the most effective techniques and paradigms to perform vocational coaching effectively, and help others find their path to success and happiness.
You will be introduced to the secret spiritual aspect of vocation which is completely ignored by mental health professionals today. As a result, about 55% of the population in the United States are unhappy with their jobs and dislike their line of work. The social cost of this is unthinkable! -- unhappiness, depression, anxiety, violence, relationship difficulties, mental and physical illnesses. Working eight hours a day in something you dislike, creates enormous unhappiness.
Psychotherapists have little training or none on vocational counseling. Doctors of course have none. Life Coaches often do better, providing they had proper training. Our promise to you is that this one day certification will prepare you to provide effective vocational coaching. Those who like psychology and especially spiritual psychology, will find the material presented fascinating.
Vocational issues are often underlying most mental disease. For example, it is easy to picture that an individual who greatly enjoy his or her profession will seldom, if ever, get depressed. Conversely, the worse depressive disorders I (Juan) saw during my fifteen years practicing psychotherapy were the result of a serious underlying vocational issue. What is most amazing, is that often these individuals had been in psychotherapy for years, and never were given the right explanation for their painful mental and physical symptoms -- an underlying, longstanding vocational issue.

Gian Paolo Girardi, MS, MA, Founder of the Brain Optimization Institute and the University of Healing Arts
In his early twenties Gian Paolo pursued studies in engineering in the most prestigious university of Chile at that time — the Catholic University of Santiago. This was a six to seven-year full-time commitment, and a painful experience in avocation. At age of twenty three, he became interested in yoga and the pursuit of happiness and enlightenment - a pursuit that continued for more than 30 years. At 32 he enrolled in post-graduate studies in psychology, which was a significant reconnection with his true vocation. After completing 3,000 hours of supervised psychotherapy, and passing required tests for licensing, he obtained his license as a Marriage Family Therapist (MFT).
Gian Paolo practiced psychotherapy full-time for over fifteen years. Eventually, he stopped renewing his license and is presently dedicated full-time to the field of education -- this was a step to a deeper vocational reconnection. He has taught, or is presently teaching, Spiritual Psychology, Psychology of Consciousness, Brain Nutrition Therapy, Life Coaching, Awareness Coaching and Biofeedback.
In January, 2005, Gian Paolo and his wife Viviana founded the Brain Optimization Institute and subsequently The University of Healing Arts. As a teacher, he and his associates are intent on communicating what they have learned through a lifetime dedicated to clinical and healing work, personal development and spirituality. For more than seventeen years, he has used the techniques and concepts taught in this certification to help his clients reconnect with their true path. In the practice of the counseling profession, it has been one of his greatest joy to help others reconnect with their vocation, as facilitating this process creates invaluable healing.
