Soul Psychology is, and always will be, the ultimate psychology theory. Psychological theories come and go, but this one, will never be lost. It is an immortal psychology written in the human body by the Divine Itself. This science, which is easy to understand, used correctly, leads to complete liberation from suffering and the full expression of the Divine in the human form.
In this one day intensive Soul Psychology Certification the student learns, and experiences, the most beautiful, elegant, and powerful approach to counseling.
Curriculum Summary
1- The Fundamental Intention of the Soul: The seven centers of Consciousness with its seven corresponding games. Why the soul must become skillful at playing these games? The maximum potential of the soul -- the Self-actualized human being.
2- The Goal of Soul Psychology is Integration: Integration is the opposite of fragmentation and the hallmark of sound mental health. Soul Psychology, based on the yogic model of seven centers of Consciousness, allows for the ultimate psychological integration. Soul Psychology is intrinsically paradoxical, and it is exactly this what makes it so powerful -- powerful at integrating the apparently conflictive aspects of the seven centers of Consciousness.
3- Basic Counseling Skills: The foundation of good counseling is unconditional acceptance and no "shoulding" no "have to." The first objective in the counseling process is to identify the issue challenging the client's soul, and, if possible, giving it a distinct name. It is valuable also to mentally notice and reflect to the client, which center of Consciousness is involved in the issue being presented. The second stage in Soul Psychology Counseling consists of attaining insight on how to move towards successful resolution of the challenge affecting the client. The soul psychology counselor speaks directly to the client's soul, bypassing the personality, and trusting the soul will recognize the truth behind his or her words. In this regard soul psychology counseling is a gentle, non-judgmental, but a direct approach. Honoring the truth is fundamental; only Truth has the power to heal and create growth. The counselor trains him/herself to see a soul in front him/her, instead of a human being.
We are not human beings trying to have a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience -- Teilhard de Chardin
5- The Fundamental Principle of Soul Psychology: The counselor is as effective as he or she has been successful in dealing with the issue presented by the client. Trying to help others at solving issues that we have not solved ourselves is not impossible but may prove challenging. Therefore, as counselors we are committed to our personal growth; not only because this is liberating for the soul, but also because this is indispensable to become an effective counselor. The complexity of each one of the the seven levels of consciousness is staggering. This is why the soul needs hundreds or even thousands of lifetimes to solve all the challenges of the seven centers of Consciousness.
6- How to Access Unlimited Wisdom: Counseling can be performed from the ego or from Consciousness. The ego may be effective for simple things, but counseling can be challenging. Therefore, moving into Awareness and functioning from there during the session is the most effective approach. When we rest as Awareness, during the counseling process our intuition is heightened. Intuition manifests as unerring intimations coming directly from Awareness, in the form of thoughts or feelings. A humble attitude in regard to the complexities of counseling is desirable, because it opens the doors to intuitive thinking and feeling. A narcissistic approach to counseling soon harms the client.
Here, using the most effective pointers available today in the Non-duality approach to enlightenment, the student is taught how to relax as unbound Awareness.
7- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the First Center of Consciousness: This center, located at the base of the spine in the coccygeal region is controlled by our attitudes -- complexes of thoughts and feelings -- towardssurvival.
The "hippie syndrome." The "spiritual person syndrome." Monastic ideas about money that still harm the world. Metaphysical assumptions that harm people especially in the US. Dealing with greed.
7.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a first consciousness center assessment.
8- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Second Center of Consciousness: This center, located in the sacrum area of the spine, is controlled by our attitudes towardssensory pleasures.
Wrong assumptions about pleasure and sexuality. Puritanism and asceticism. Hedonism as a false philosophy that calibrates below integrity. The middle path. Addictions. Dealing with addictions. Celibacy, repression and sexual deviations.
8.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a second consciousness center assessment.
9- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Third Center of Consciousness: This center, located in the lumbar area of the spine, is controlled by our attitudes towards self-empowerment.
Wrong assumptions about the ego. The spiritual ego. The value of a positive self-concept. Positive mirroring a powerful healing intervention in counseling. The value of self confidence, self acceptance, and self-esteem. Mistaken research on self-esteem. The excesses of self-esteem. Narcissism or inflated self-esteem is a personality disorder. The main purpose of psychotherapy is to reinforce the ego, and why this is necessary but insufficient. The three stages of soul development -- traditional, metaphysical and mystical.
9.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a third consciousness center assessment.
10- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Fourth Center of Consciousness: This center, located at the height of the heart in the spine, is controlled by our attitudes towardsrelationships and unconditional love.
The monastic assumptions regarding celibacy suppress the romantic aspect of life. The "falling in love experience." The "gigolo syndrome." The feminine perspective of the couple relationship -- sexuality as an expression of romance. Interaction between the second and fourth centers. Empathy; the dawn of unconditional love. Why suffering is necessary to develop empathy. Empathy in counseling. Love for animals and plants lead to unconditional love. Nature opens the heart center. The path of service. The Bhakti Yoga path. Why it can be dangerous. Our conflictive world is the result of ignorant Bhakti yoga practices -- we called them "main religions." How to practice Bhakti yoga without falling into its traps. Unconditional love opens the door to a natural childlike trust in a benevolent universe, and frees the soul from fear of poverty and disease -- regardless of circumstances. Why nowadays this is being misrepresented in metaphysical teachings. How to deal with this issue in counseling.
10.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a fourth consciousness center assessment.
11- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Fifth Center of Consciousness: This center, located in the dorsal area of the spine, is controlled by our attitudes towards theexpression of our creativity; mainly through our vocation.
Fifth chakra issues lead to severe psycho-pathologies. The importance of assessing fifth chakra issues. How to do it. How to address fifth chakra issues in counseling. The monastic vows also suppress the creativity of the soul.
The "will" is a soul capacity, and therefore manifests its power in human life through the fifth center of Consciousness. This has significant implications in dealing with goals, habits and addictions.
11.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a fifth consciousness center assessment.
12- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Sixth Center of Consciousness: This center, located in the forehead, is controlled by thoughts and feeling regarding the mystery of our true identity; who we are really.
"The body and the mind is all there is." Why this assumption does not resist any analysis from a scientific perspective. "Consciousness is the result of complexity." "Consciousness springs from the brain." How this false assumptions keep the sixth center of Consciousness underdeveloped. Dealing with these distorted assumptions in counseling.
Sincere curiosity is the first step. Resting as Awareness (meditation) is a shift in attention. Awakening, the opening of the sixth center, is a shift in identity. The soul's journey to Self-Realization. The desire for the Truth can be quickened through meditation, reading, spiritual company, workshops, courses and self-enquiry.
12.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a sixth consciousness center assessment.
13- Assumptions that Cause suffering at the Seventh Center of Consciousness: This center, located at the top of the head, is controlled by our attitudes towards the ultimate mystery: what the universe is really.
The Newtonian reductionistic assumption: "the universe is a mechanism." Quantum Physics and the theory of relativity already gave a mortal blow to the Newtonian assumption, but still this is quite alive in our world. From tiny spheres to bundles of energy. "The right tool for deep scientific exploration is the senses." Why this is a false assumption, even if the power of the senses is amplified by mechanical or electronic instrument. Meditation and psychedelic substances have always been the right mean for deep exploration into the ultimate reality of the Universe. How to address these false assumptions in Soul Psychology Counseling.
13.1- Assessment: The group breaks in dyads and each pair works at making a seventh consciousness center assessment.
14- Where to get more information. Here the instructor will share with the student numerous sources of information where he or she can continue deepening his/her understanding of soul Psychology; the ultimate counseling approach.
